Since 360 uses double layer dvds and ps3 uses bluray, will game developers start to run out of room on dvds?

Yes. The 360 is almost four years old now, nearing retirement for most consoles, in the sense that it must give way to a successor.Since 360 uses double layer dvds and ps3 uses bluray, will game developers start to run out of room on dvds?
For most games the amount of space for code is fine! Textures can conceivably start to become a little tight, but it's no biggie. It's cut scenes and stuff that would likely get the chop is space is tight on a disc.Since 360 uses double layer dvds and ps3 uses bluray, will game developers start to run out of room on dvds?
at some point a developer will say ';we need more space'; and microsoft will tell them to compress everything or use 2 discs...

I have a thick layer of fat on my stomach. What is the BEST way to burn it off?

Lots of cardio! I suggest an hour on the elliptical and/or treadmill per day with a break day here or there. You will be sweating your butt off and burning lots of calories. I cant tell you how long it will take to fix your stomach because you will burn off fat in places your body wants it to first. Dont give up if you dont see results in your stomach right away, it usualy takes a while but you will get there. Remember you must eat right too.I have a thick layer of fat on my stomach. What is the BEST way to burn it off?
Cardio, Cardio, Cardio!! Plus a clean diet. This is the only thing that will shrink fat on your belly or any other part of your body. There is not magic exercise that will spot reduce fat like that in fact the more you work an area the thinker it will look if you don't do cardio to burn off the fat. If you want to get a ball and do a workout on that to tone up the muscle underneath the fat that is fine but those exercises will not get rid of fat.I have a thick layer of fat on my stomach. What is the BEST way to burn it off?
You really can't target a certain area and ';spot-train'; it into shape. This is especially true for the abs.

You would need to do some intense cardio workout as well as strength training (more muscle burns fat) in order to get your overall body fat percentage down. Once that happens, then you will see a difference in all the areas of your body that tend to store fat.

All the while, you can make sure that you are working your abs by doing pilates, yoga, ball or band exercises to strengthen your core. When the fat comes off, tah-dah! You'll be cut. :-0
get an exercise ball and it should come with a video or instuctions on what exercises you can do, crunches, sit ups, also for abs try, lay on your back, put your hand over your head on the floor you can even hold on to something heavy to keep you down and then lift your legs up and down it burns but it works really good! %26lt;3
    Hi,

Can I use a switch and a firewall both at layer 2 of the network setup instead of chaining them?

    By chaining i mean T1 router%26gt;Firewall%26gt;Switch%26gt;others

I want to be able to have the t1 router and firewall connect directly to the switch but I really don't know how to come about getting the clients to request everything through the firewall and then make the firewall hop to the t1 router. Can I use a switch and a firewall both at layer 2 of the network setup instead of chaining them?
This will only really work if you are using a layer 3 switch and you'll still need to have two network cards in your firewall.

Typically, firewalls will have a clean and dirty interface, so you'd VLAN off your switch to be dirty and clean. The firewall could then connect to both sides.

Users would have default gateway of the switch's private IP address. Traffic would then be forwarded onto the firewall, which would apply its rule set and forward on the dirty switch VLAN and then onto the router. Can I use a switch and a firewall both at layer 2 of the network setup instead of chaining them?
T1 router%26gt;Firewall%26gt;Switch%26gt;others is the only correct configuration.

Why would you possibly want to do it any other way??

How can we as humans decrease damage to our ozone layer?

The simplest thing that the human species could do is reduce its numbers humanely through birth control. One woman-one child for two generations would be a great help towards solving all of our environmental problems. How can we as humans decrease damage to our ozone layer?
We already have, the use of Ozone depleting materials has now be regulated world wide and the Ozone hole slowly decreasing in size.

Ozone has nothing to do with the ';greenhouse effect'; or ';global warming'; or even just everyday pollution. It a completely different problem which seems to have been resolved. How can we as humans decrease damage to our ozone layer?
We can not use hair spray.. and not drive cars? I dunno hehe. I'ts not really at the top of my ';worry'; list
Teach Our kids the important of the Ozone and teach Freinds about it too .. try to use Our Cars only when we Have to or when we Need , Try to Find other Surce rather than Use Gas or Oil , Too keep or Forests Safe from Fire . Alot we Can do But the Quastion can we Do them ?
Be more GREEN!!!! not to rely on oil and gas as much, and to use alternative energy sources.
Do everything eco-friendly, use energy efficient light bulbs, turn off the lights, un-plug appliances when not in use (I know you have probably heard all this before, but I am just reminding), RECYCLE (bottles, cans, paper, cardboard, clothes, batteries, ink cartridges, tin etc..), Eco-friendly transportation (bike, walk, run, jog, rollerblade, scooter, skateboard, longboard, take the bus and carpool etc..)

It will be along time before we all work together to save our planet, a lot of people are ignorant about the subject and don't give it a second thought. Don't get me wrong, we have improved in the time that 'global warming' has come well-known, but in the future when our world is full of smog and covered in water, civilization then might give it a second thought. (I know this sounds ignorant of ME, but it is the truth unless people start thinking smartly about what they are doing)

I have a little blurb that a think about a lot: 'Our mother earth has nourished us and helped us survive, now why are we doing what we are doing to her? We should be the ones nourishing and helping her survive' (cheesy I know, but it makes a lot of sense to me)

As someone said above: Educate others! Spread the word etc..
    Stop farting !

    Oh, thats for the cows.
for starters start walking everywhere. do without heaters in winter and air conditioners in summer. stop getting takeout and using plastic. get rid of the fridge.

probability of the above happening = 0
You can't unless you really abandin the capitalist ideology.

  • How is the subcutaneous layer related to the epidermis and perdiderm of a full-grown being?

the subcutaneous or adipose layer is the bottom layer. it aids in storage of fat cells and cushions other structures of the skin. blood vessels also pass through. the epidermis is the uppermost layer and contains four or five layers. each layer has a differrent function. the epidermis is responsible mainly for shedding old skin with new ones and aids in blood clotting. the perdiderm or dermis is the middle layer which contains sweat galnds, blood vessels and the hair root.

the three layers both contribute to the functions of the skin, and lie in layers to carry out related functions.

Accumulation of stinky creamy layer underneath the foreskin of penis?

Couple of months back, I had indulged in sex without using condom, since then i have noticed that a off-white creamy layer being formed on the tip on my penis (underneath the foreskin)

is it some kind of disease ?

Or is it some kind of infection ?

Buy some tea tree cream at a health food store and apply it three times a day, after you wash, for two weeks. Your soap might be infected. Throw it out and use a liquid body wash. If it's not better after that, see a doctor.

Above me was the correct answer but to expand your knowledge :

http://www.osischool.com/concept/communication/tcp-ip-layeringWhat are the 4 primary responsibilities of the Transport Layer?
Hi, I presume you're talkng about the OSI 7 layer model, then the 4 main functions are:

    1. Segment and assemble upper-layer applications

    2. Transport segments from one host to another host

    3. Establish and manage end-to-end operations

    4. Error recovery

Concrete front steps are coming off in ';sheets'; top layer only?

The top layer of my concrete steps are breaking off in small ';sheets';, mostly at the base, where it meets the sidewalk.

Is there a ';topping'; mix that I could pick up at the store to fix this?Concrete front steps are coming off in ';sheets'; top layer only?
You can fix this problem quite easily....you must clean off all the loose concrete and wash it well leaving it slightly damp.mix up just enough QUICK PLUG (or other hydrolic cement) that you can work in a short time (read instructions)and apply using trowel and gloves.I have done this many times on steps and on concrete pools and it has lasted for years....I would use a concrete / stone sealer after a month or two if you are in an area that has frost and use urea not salt for ice removalConcrete front steps are coming off in ';sheets'; top layer only?
Absolutely, but make sure you remove any concrete that looks like it wants to come off with a hammer. The utilize a concrete patching compound, go to any local hardware store and ask for concrete patch.
no, breakout the whole thing and redo it
my husband says you can't fix that. he has been working with concrete for years. someone put it in incorrectly to begin with. he says there is either no rhibar and/or the cement was mixed wrong. it will be much less expensive in the long run to get new stairs. there is no patch that will fix something like that for more than a couple of weeks.
Sounds like water soaked into the cement and froze (several times), or maybe damage from salt (combined with freezing).

There are numerous products that CLAIM to be able to bond a thin patch coating on cement, but I have never seen one that lasts, the patch just comes loose after a year or so (if that long). If the steps are so damaged that they are unsafe, replace. If it is just ugly, ignore, or maybe cover with outdoor carpeting.
I know the problem. I had a patio with the same thing -- concrete peeling off. I found a product called ';VinalPatch'; at Kmart for $2.99/bag. (Unfortunately, this was about 30 years ago!) It lasted about 2 years and then I had to do it again. There are probably newer products that will do the same thing. Check at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.

Unfortunately, your concrete was put in too wet. That's why it is ';peeling.'; The long term solution is to tear it out and replace it.

The patio was at my old house. I have the same problem at my new house on the front steps. I'm thinking of tiling or bricking them, instead of replacing the concrete. At this time, the ';peeling'; is not getting worse. The top layer peeled off, and the remainder of the steps seems just fine. But it looks rough.

This is a real problem for us both!
the forms on your steps where left on too long and after they stripped them they couldn't rub them out with a magnesium float, they then mixed up Portland and sand and parged them, that is what is coming off,if you look there will be no gravel in these layers, clean the steps off by chipping and wire brushing then buy a bonding agent then reapply Portland cement mixture, seal with masonry sealer after curing

How Do You Layer A Lasagna?

What do i layer it with How do I make itHow Do You Layer A Lasagna?
noodle, riccota cheese, meat, sauce, noodle, cheese, meat, sauce.... til u run out or get to top of dishHow Do You Layer A Lasagna?
Everyone have their own way of doing lasagnas...Also- you put whatever you want in your lasagna as well.

I'm latin %26amp; I just dont do my lasagna with plain ol' meat.

First I cook the ground meat with seasoning, and sliced, pieces of sausage. After its done, I drain the meat, pour a little bit of spagetti sauce %26amp; stir, to make it a little juicy.

Boil lasagna strips with a little bit of salt and oil. drain after its done and let it cool. Separate the strips...

After you've done that, If you want to put any types of veggies in it, cool, cut what you desire into small pieces, if you just want a meat only -lasagna thats okay too. I usually would slice thin layers of mushrooms %26amp; boiled eggs. It tastes really great.

After everything is done cooked, sliced etc.Line up lasagna strips in the pan, next to each other making sure you dont leave any gaps. Cover lasagna strips with a thin layer of ricotta cheese, spread a small amount of spagetti sauce on the ricotta cheese. Spread motzerella, and cheddar cheese afterwards, and put meat and desired veggies- if any, on top of the cheese. Repeat until you're on your last layer- usually 3rd one. When you're on your last layer of strips after you've cover the meat, Cover lasagna strips with spagetti sauce using a BBQ brush or back of the spoon, for a nice color after cooking and add motzerella %26amp; cheddar cheese on top. Put in the oven on 300-350 degrees and wait until cheese is melted and golden brown, usually it would take about 30- 45 minutes. For additional taste after cheese is melted and golden you can put half teaspoons of cream cheese on top about half inch- an inch apart from each other on top of the lasagna, wait until heated for about 5-10 minutes %26amp; take out lasagna, let it cool before cutting and then serve.

I've been cooking since I was 13 years old.

    Good Luck!
it's really easy, I'm gonna give you some basic tips but a lot of people tinker and make it to their tastes. Cover the bottom of a deep baking dish with sauce (whatever kind you like), then cover the bottom with a single layer of cooked lasagna noodles. Cover that with (and this is where some people differ) 1/2 of whatever cheese you like, some like plain ricotta-I like to mix a 16oz container of ricotta with 8oz mozzarella and throw in some parmesan, then you can either layer it with cooked ground beef and/or sausage, cover with sauce, place another layer of noodles, cheese, meat, sauce and cover with one more layer of noodles. Put some more sauce and some mozarella and you're done! Bake it at 350 until it's bubbly and let it sit for about 15 minutes after taking it out of the oven so all the filling doesn't pour out when you cut it. Good luck!
I cook my lasagna this way: layer bottom of pan with some great marinara sauce. Put a layer of uncooked, yes, uncooked lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese that has been mixed with eggs, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic and parsley flakes and mix with a mixer until smooth and creamy, meat that has been cooked with italian sausage, basil and garlic, mozzarella cheese, sauce, uncooked lasagna noodles, usually 3-4 layers of filling and top with lasagna noodles, sauce and mozzarella cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and foil. Put in oven at 350 for about 90 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees. Let lasagna set up for about a half an hour and uncover and cut into pieces to be served. I make lasagna at work this way almost every week for the past 15 years and it hasn't failed me yet.

    Good luck and good eats.
You need the noodles (egg noodles), mozzarella, besciamella, meat, tomato sauce, and whatever vegetables and spices you want for the sauce.

Cook the hamburger and the sauce first. And boil the noodles. Be careful they don't stick together, and don't tear.

Then layer the ingredients like this. In your baking dish, cover the bottom with meat and sauce, then slices of mozzarella, then cover with besciamella. Then a layer of noodles.

Repeat this two or three times.

After the final layer of noodles, put one more layer of sauce and one more layer of mozzarella, then cook it! (I'm not sure about the temp--maybe 400 degrees for 45 minutes?)
First you need lasagna noodles cooked. Follow the directions on the box. You will need two pounds of lean ground beef cooked; drain and add tomatoe sauce, onions oregano, basil and marojam and any veggies that you want (mushrooms, celery etc.). Put aside also. You then need mozarella chesse shredded, and cottage cheese or ricotta cheese. First layer is noodle, then meat, then cottage cheese, then mozarella cheese. Repeat until your last layer is noodle in which you only put mozzarella cheese on top. Be sure that when you layer that you do not go over the pan that you are using!
start with the noodles in the bottom of the pan, then add the meat/sauce mix, then a rocatta cheese, mozz cheese mix, noodles, meat/sauce, cheese. then top it off with just noodles and sauce, and add mozz cheese.
    Here is my lasagna recipe.

Cook lasagna noodles for 7 minutes in a fry pan of boiling, salted water and set aside on a cookie sheet. Spread olive oil over noodles to keep pliable.

Drain a large container of ricotta cheese over night through a strainer. Add one egg and two cups of grated parmesan cheese to use for layering.

Brown one pound of ground chuck and one pound of hot Italian sausage. Crumble each and mix together.

Combine one 28 oz can of diced tomatoes and one 28 oz can of tomato sauce along with a small can of tomato paste. Add four tablespoons of italian herb seasoning and one small diced onion.

Grease a large baking dish and place first layer of lasagna noodles on the bottom. Then add one ladle of sauce, 1/3 of ground meat and 1/3 of cheese mixture. Then cover with another layer of noodles and repeat through three layers in total.

For top layer - ladle on sauce and then cover with diced or shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for thirty five to forty five minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.

  • Best thing to do to get rid of a layer of fat?

i think i have some sort of six pack somewhere

but i have a tiny bit of fat

    its very small

im 5'4 and weigh 100 lbs.

    im 14

why does most of my fat go to my stomach??\

how do i lose the small layer of fat its on my lower stomach.

and im always sucking in my stomach so no one will see it

    im sick of it!

    how do i lose it?

    what kind of exercises?

or things can i do?Best thing to do to get rid of a layer of fat?
You don't need to loose fat, your 14 and underweight.

Try doing crunches and situps to tone your stomach. When I was around your age I had 'baby fat' that just dropped off in less than a month, and all of a sudden I looked more like a teen ager than a pudgy kid. You're tiny, so you probably don't look like a pudgy kid!Best thing to do to get rid of a layer of fat?
Dont know if youve heard of 'Go Cal'-Mixture of Apple Cider Vinegar ,Green Tea,dandelion tea available at health food shops lost 9 pounds in two months -best to lose it slow that way it doesnt come back.dont live in Uk so dont know if available there. They are brilliant, brilliant ,brilliant
what you descibe is normal for a female body...keep doing sit ups but unless you become a body-builder you will always have that protective stomach fat...otherwise you may be unable to have children or will look like a boy...focus on what you do in life not how you look...getting good grades or doing something to help your community are achievements what you weigh and how you look is temporary and nothing to be proud of...please look outward into the world and away from self-obsession
Dancing is one of the exercises you could do to lose the midsection for example bellydancing, hip hop, or to any music something that would be more focused on the stomach. Another thing could be Yoga.
    crunches will help somewhat.

but you also have to eat right too.

eat healthy food and pretty soon some of that fat will go away and turn into muscel.
    DO SOME CRUNCHES SIT UPS
You are 100 pounds, you are FINE. Get over it.
    crunches and sit ups.

    remember the saying though,

    do them with QUALITY

    NOT

    Qauntity.

Or else all you will do is lose your breathe quickly and not burn any fat.

p.s. I recomend you do not though, because my sister is a very tiny girl also and when she figured she was fat and started to get rid of it, it took her straight to the hospital.

Not a good idea. Especially for your height and size correlation.
Crunches, sit ups, supine bicycles, mountain climbers... all these strengthen your abs and can burn fat as long as you do them correctly. If you're not sure how to do them, look them up.

Isn't the Army great? Giving us all these workout routines? haha...

How can I change the brightness of only one layer in photoshop CS4 rather than the entire picture?

If you are asking about using an adjustment layer to only brighten one layer, you will need to make the adjustment layer into a Clipping Mask. I haven't used CS4, but in the previous versions, you select the adjustment layer in the layer palette, right click on it and select Make Clipping Mask. Or you can go to the Layer pulldown menu and Select Clipping Mask. Or alt+ctrl+G

Once you've done that - the adjustment layer should slide over and you'll see a little arrow pointing down to the layer beneath it - the layer that it is adjusting. How can I change the brightness of only one layer in photoshop CS4 rather than the entire picture?
you can do it several ways, change the occupancy of all the other layers lock all the other layers and brighten it, but the best way is to look through tutorials and take a few, they REALLY help you learn about the program in a very short amount of time. i can do all sorts of things now that i have taken a few tutorials. just google photoshop tutorial and just click on a few links, there are thousands. eventually you ca n use the program in real life situations.....here is a few i have done:

you should be able to do this. If you look at your layer, you should have the ability to make it either Normal, or a host of other options like lighten, darken soft light harsh light etc.

I mean i'm working with photoshop 7, but the concepts are the same. Once you click on a certain layer, you can do just about anything to JUST that layer. Look for little drop down boxes and menus once you are in a certain layer.
If you have the layer you want selected, using image%26gt;adjustments%26gt;brightness and contrast should only affect that layer. However using an adjustment layer will affect any visible layer underneath it (unless you ';merge down'; rather than ';flatten';).

What is the best way to mail a double-layer German Chocolate Cake (from Texas to Seattle)?

Some craft type stores sell cake ';mailers';! I haven't needed one in years but have used them to ship cakes. You will also want lot's of fragile and this end up stickers%26lt;g%26gt; and FedEx ruined fewer of my mailings than the other two guys (the guilty shall remained unnamed) but it's never a sure thing!

Make sure the cake is bagged (not just plastic wrapped) and use swizzle sticks to keep the bag off the frosting. Use marshmallows to fill the empty spaces in the box (they work better than foam peanuts). Lastly cross your fingers and hope for the best!

Good luckWhat is the best way to mail a double-layer German Chocolate Cake (from Texas to Seattle)?
Boy, they use special packaging for the boxed cakes in the grocery refrigerated section. I mean the floor has the cake just glued to it and then a styrofoam ring large enough to circle the cake. The styrofoam is just high enough so the cake doesn't fall if the box is upside down or on its side.

You might try square layers with the icing separate in a zip lock.

IMHO, you'd be better off doing cupcakes, gotta air freight because of the egg in that wonderful coconut icing.

Sweet regards, in Germany we don't know that wonderful cake. It comes from a Dallas newspaper advertisement with a recipe because of a chocolate seller with the last name ';German';. Ship me one, but I want it triple layered. What is the best way to mail a double-layer German Chocolate Cake (from Texas to Seattle)?
    Is that possible? just kidding

I would put one of those plastic thin sheets around the cake (those kinds that they put on the cakes in the grocery stores so that they wont woble or fall over). Then I would put it in a good fit container that closes pretty good. (ask them to mail it back, the container of course). And put it in one of those foam coolers (they come in all sizes) but put a couple of frozen gel packs so that it stays cool (they sell them anywhere). Put that in a box after tapping the cooler shut, tape it (the box) and send it. Put fragil all over the box with a marker(although i doubt they pay attention to that, but who knows they might) and make sure that you call them and let them know that you are sending it so that they wait for it over in seattle. My mom did that with a cheese cake and it got over just fine but she forgot the ice gel packs and it came kinda hot. But they still ate it and it came out great.
Talk about tricky??? I would freeze the cake first. It will be more stable that way. Pack it tightly so that there is no movement and ship it overnight. It will cost a little extra but worth getting there in good condition.

Could the ozone layer a type of containment cytoplasm for spirits causing ghosts to be scientifically real?

That's quite a plausible theory! Ozone manifests itself in a ';material world'; in the form tiny bubbles that can be positively or negatively charged. Ozone is released when a jolt of energy is shifted within a range of it's controlled or contained natural states. The smell of a electrical fire, with an exception of smoke or insulation being cooked, is ozone.

The common theory is that to manifest or even ';hang out'; a little bit, spirits need at minimum an electrostatic charge to ';feed'; off of. Similar to a battery of sorts. We need nutrients, water and air to thrive but out of the bajillion possibilities out there, maybe something uses pure, raw energy to sustain itself. The ozone has full potential to become that ';battery'; source.

This is why sites with a high amount of quartz will also have higher incidents of paranormal activity. Quartz is a good conductor of energy with amplification potential.

Now, here's something for you to think about...I have a theory myself concerning atmospheric anomalies and a recent increase in certain ';activities';::: The HAARP Project - Up and running since 1999, only recently FULLY functional (2005). The increase in supposed paranormal activity hit an all time high starting in...??...2005. Yes, 2005.

Some would say that it's because better observation techniques have been implemented and tools or special ghosthunter devices created, but the fact is, the same ';equipment'; that detected this upsurge starting in 2005 has been the same stuff being used since recorded history of unususal occurances - the human senses.

HAARP uses high frequency radio waves, which are a form of energy in of themselves, to ';bounce'; signals off of the ionosphere. It's shocking the ionosphere with positive charges, in effect, shrouding the entire planet with low level energy bursts. They say they want to literally create an invisible electronic grid around the planet to simplify communication, assist in air traffic control and enhance the Doppler weather system with this array of antenna (this you can read for yourself at the NOAA website).

Combine this with what they're doing at (my personal favorite scary-thing) CERN (attempting to create microscopic black holes and contain them or keep them stable long enough to study them) and we've got a potential combination that's gonna prove to be a real pip should something go awry.

It might sound far fetched, but there's still a remote possibility that with HAARP, they could jumpstart a fusion reaction within our upper atmosphere and our planet would be one big glowing orb. As awsome as it would look from the moon, it wouldn't be so peachy down here on the ground. HAHA!!

Now the second potentially gruesome thing that could happen, only with CERN this time, is that they do get a result on the quantum level and instead of creating a tiny little black hole to study for only a miniscule amount of time, they end up punching a hole through the aether (the anti-area that exists between dimensions).

It is scientifically plausible that there's other...things...that dwell in this aether between dimensions. Things that are comprised of wavelengths of light, as the hypothesis dictates things that exist on the 4th dimension or higher or situated in between would be made of...things that could effectively interfere with substance on our 3rd dimensional layer if it had an easily manipulated or converged energy to utilize from a readily available source like...oh, say...an ionosphere perpetually maintaining a simple FUSION reaction.

You see where I'm going with this now, don'tcha?

Now to grasp at a few straws here I've always had the idea that the ';shadows'; people see in paranormal investigations are merely beings from another dimension trying to learn how to enter this one and affect their surroundings once they get here. Sure people call some things ';ghosts'; or ';spirits'; or even ';gods'; and ';demons';, but what if...and I'm most convinced when I say what IF they aren't PARAnormal at all? What if they're just HYPERnormal, meaning that they aren't some sort of dead, spiritual, returning to haunt. ghost but instead an actual ';living'; and very real being from another dimension?

People always have to put a mystical tag on something they don't understand, can't comprehend or grasp but who's to say that we not only have other life forms in this universe/dimension, but others as well...and they're evolving technologically like we are and trying to explore? And what if they're more aggressive than we are?

    Wouldn't that be some sh*t?

Oh, I almost forgot to answer your question I got so carried away with my own tin foil hat imagination...the answer is a VERY highly possible ';why not';?? It makes sense.Could the ozone layer a type of containment cytoplasm for spirits causing ghosts to be scientifically real?
i dont know what you said but you sounded pretty sexy so okayyyy! ;)

How do I layer my hair?

Ok so my mom cuts my hair but she doesn't know how to do layers, what's the best way to do it?How do I layer my hair?
It depends on how much layering you want. To keep it simple and not so easy for her to screw up, follow these directions (kinda hard to explain without showing)

Starting in the back, take a 1'; or so vertical section and comb the hair from the ';crown'; area straight up. In that combed area, the shortest hair is where she can start cutting. Her fingers should be parallel to the top of your head (if you sit up straight).

The back of that section is where the least gets cut and the middle of the crown is where the most gets cut. After doing that, add a small section of uncut hair and use the 1st as a guideline for the rest and go in circle from the top of your head (like an umbrella)

Just keep pulling everything straight up and cut the same from one area to the next. This should give you a some what layered cut.How do I layer my hair?
Professionally. Does your mom casually cut hair, or professionally, because if she's licensed, she should know.

Layering hair can be tricky, so spend a few extra dollars to get it done right in a salon or beauty school.
layering is best left for the pro's, it is more in the line of styling hair and since your mom isn't a hairdresser (i don't think), i would think the best possible solution is to go to a hairdressers.
if ur mom doesnt know how to do LAYERS, she shouldnt be cutting your hair. go to a haircutting place, like, PRONTO.
Layering hair is very difficult to do, it's best you get a professional hairdresser to do it.
    WELL,

what ive tried doing is dividing my hair into sections

then cute them, top being shortest and bottom being longest.

Through cutting the sections, make the parts in the front shorter going down in a sort of point down the back.
ok well i must say i have tried to do it by myself and lets say not the best thing in the world :/ but i would get a proffesional to do it :P

What subjects should i study to become a brick layer?

what subjects at school should i study to become a brick layer

i am in year 9 currently choosing year 10 subjects i would like to know what subjects i should choose any certain specific ones qualifications i may need to get With a apprentice ship

also would like to know a bit more about it what kind of stuff i would be doingWhat subjects should i study to become a brick layer?
Take as many courses as possible in shop, basic mathematics, blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, english and general science, as well as college prep courses in engineering.

Bricklayers work in various aspects of building, industrial, commercial and residential construction. They build walls, partitions, chimneys and other structural forms from brick, block or other masonry material. They work with mortar using a trowel, as well as working with chisels, jointers block hammers and powered saws.

Much of a bricklayer's work is done outdoors and generally depends upon suitable weather conditions. Bricklaying is a very strenuous trade which requires much repeated stooping and repeated heavy lifting. A bricklayer needs to be able to work in a variety of duties requiring close tolerances and must be able to work well at various heights.

Click on the source link I posted below for more information.

When you reach year 12, start searching the internet for bricklayer apprenticeship programs. These programs allow you to learn on the job under the direct supervision of qualified bricklayers. These apprenticeship programs take about three years to complete. You will be earning a salary the whole time.

How can I tell if I have a Double Layer Driver?

I don't know if my computer can burn Double Layer DVD. Where should I check to find out.

If I open my package of disks I'll lose $15.

I have windows Vista. How can I tell if I have a Double Layer Driver?
You'll need your dvd-rw drive model number. You can get it in 'device manager' under 'dvd/cd-rom drives', then google it to see if your drive support dl burning. How can I tell if I have a Double Layer Driver?
Look at the physical CD/ DVD drive. It should say DVD+R DL somewhere in white letters. If it doesn't, you probably don't have dual layer writing capabilities.

Compare the porosity and the permeability of an aquifer with the porosity and the permeability of a layer of s

Porosity is the fraction of total volume (of rock) that is pore space and permebility is the flowability of the formation (rock).

An effective aquifer should have high porosity to contain large amount of water and high permeability so that water can flow through it.

Shale, in general is known as impermeable (having no or very low permeability) rock even though some types of shales can have high porosity.

What has CAUSED the depletion of the ozone layer?

:] thank you. What has CAUSED the depletion of the ozone layer?
Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC): a compound consisting of chlorine, fluorine, and carbon

CFCs are very stable in the troposphere. They move to the stratosphere and are broken down by strong ultraviolet (UV) light, where they release chlorine atoms that then deplete the ozone layer. CFCs are commonly used as refrigerants, solvents, and foam blowing agents. ozone depletion potential (ODP) for each CFC is, respectively, 1, 1, 0.8, 1, and 0.6.

Carbon tetrachloride was widely used as a raw material in many industrial uses, including the production of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), and as a solvent. Solvent use ended when it was discovered to be carcinogenic. It is also used as a catalyst to deliver chlorine ions to certain processes. Its ozone depletion potential is 1.2.

Consumer aerosol products in the US have not used ozone-depleting substances (ODS) since the late 1970s because of voluntary switching followed by federal regulation. The Clean Air Act and EPA regulations further restricted the use of ODS for non-consumer products. All consumer products, and most other aerosol products, now use propellants that do not deplete the ozone layer, such as hydrocarbons and compressed gases.

Class I Substance: one of several groups of chemicals with an ozone-depletion potential of 0.2 or higher

Class I substances listed in the Clean Air Act (CAA) include CFCs, halons, carbon tetrachloride, and methyl chloroform. EPA later added HBFCs and methyl bromide to the list by regulation. What has CAUSED the depletion of the ozone layer?
Kay T is correct about the CFCs.

There are also non-anthropogenic causes, e.g. supernovae and gamma-ray bursts:

Why is there a hole in the ozone layer?

i'm researching about the ozone layer and i want to know why other people think there is a whole in the ozone layer. What can we do to help? Why is there a hole in the ozone layer?
that's right, it's due to a chemical called chlorofluorocarbons. everyone's using it.

Any of various halocarbon compounds consisting of carbon, hydrogen, chlorine, and fluorine, once used widely as aerosol propellants and refrigerants. Chlorofluorocarbons are believed to cause depletion of the atmospheric ozone layer.

so everyone should use non-chlorofluorocarbonated items like chlorofluorocarbonated-free sprays, fridges, mosquito repellents, etc.Why is there a hole in the ozone layer?
The real answer is - nobody knows why there is a hole in the ozone layer. They do shift and change sizes, remaining mostly centered over the poles. They have been there ever since we have had the technology to know that they are there.

There have been a number of different theories about how man has created them, but none of them really come out in the wash, and it is interesting that we think we may have created them, since as far a we know, they have always been there.

For all we really know, they have always been there, and serve some purpose to keep the earth operating like it does. But nobody seems willing to explore that idea.

So the answer is, we can't do anything to help. We don't know what they are for - what if we 'help' and they fill in, and we really needed those holes for some purpose we didn't know about until they weren't there anymore?
The claim is that there are man made chemicals like floroclorocarbons (spelling?) which break down the ozone and leave a hole.
because we're selfish, fossil fuel burning idiots.
its got something to do with CFCs braking down O3.
people say there are holes in the ozone layer cause are ozone layer is diying by the minute be cause of pollution
The aerosol propellant ChloFloroCarbon or CFC's get broken down by UV light in the upper atmosphere into chlorine atoms, these chlorine atoms then act as a catalyst to break down ozone (O3). since the banning of regular use of CFC's the ozone hole has gotten progressively smaller and should dissapear altogether within 80 years.

Why must the spot applied to a Thin Layer Chromatography plate be above the level of the developing solvent?

Please help asap! Why must the spot applied to a Thin Layer Chromatography plate be above the level of the developing solvent?
Because in that case, the solvent front will creep upward from the solvent level and carry the components of the spot at varying rates to the top.

If the spot is below the solvent level, then the solvent will wash away the spot into the solvent and there will be no development.

Is OSB layer a good subfloor for laminated panels (quick-step)?

i heared OSB will not survive if a washing machine floods floor. is it true ?

also i am concerned about formaldehyde issued by OSB. is it dangerous if covered by laminated panels? Is OSB layer a good subfloor for laminated panels (quick-step)?
The OSB will be just fine. Its strong, durable and cheap. No matter what subfloor you have, if your washer floods, and the water sits for any period of time...there's going to be damage.

As far as the formaldehyde, you aren't going to be able to run from it. I know its making headlines in the news with all the crap going on with FEMA and New Orleans. But the fact is, its in most of the products that are used to building houses for the past 20 years. If you're house is older than 5 years, most of the problem is already gone, so you don't need to worry. Is OSB layer a good subfloor for laminated panels (quick-step)?
I have used it under vinyl tiles and it has been no problem - even under a washing machine - it is generally weather proof (it is often used for site hoardings) so seem to resist the occaisional spill - I chose it because it was as cheap as chips.

Don't know about formaldehyde - maybe you should steer clear of any manufactured board (or plastic laminate which is made of urea formaldehyde after all) if this is a major concern to you.

Is there really a hole in the ozone layer?

is there really a hole in the ozone layer and if so will it kill us will it just eat the whole thing? Is there really a hole in the ozone layer?
There are actually several holes in the ozone layer that come and go with some regularity. No, we are not all going to be burned to crispy critters like in the movie The Core.Is there really a hole in the ozone layer?
There is a large hole in the ozone layer that seasonally fluctuates, at times it is large and at other times smaller. It only impacts people and plants at the extreme southern portion of the world. It isn't going to kill you! The excess ultraviolet radiation may increase your chances of skin cancer but so does laying under tanning beds excessively. So far within the contiguous United States, we have nothing to fear.
Technically there is no ';hole'; in the ozone layer. There is, however a massive thinning of the ozone layer towards to poles. The areas is still partially protected by ozone, but not nearly as much as the mid and lower latitudes. In fact, the ozone layer is naturally thinner at the poles, we were just making it worse by releasing chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) which react with ozone and make it less available to filter out the sun's radiation. Hope this helps!

    Cheers,

    Andrew
Yes and George Bush wants to fill it up with his primary member !

He is a big prick but not even a whopper of a pecker like him is bit enough tofill this one !
Yes, Andrew is correct. It is the CFC's that react with ozone (O3) and make it turn into diatomic oxygen (O2).

  • Do the internal combustion engines such as those on planes and cars destroy the ozone layer?

People told me this is true but I learned in school that it is not. I heard that they actually produce ozone sometimes.Do the internal combustion engines such as those on planes and cars destroy the ozone layer?
No, carbon emissions have no effect on the ozone layer. Ozone is destroyed more by CFCs, such as aerosol propellant and air conditioning fluid (freon).

Carbon emissions contribute to greenhouse warming, but that is a different process.Do the internal combustion engines such as those on planes and cars destroy the ozone layer?
yes they do the carbon emissions are slowly destroying the ozone layer.
    lol, with the Avatar
Very slightly. It is true that CFCs are primary responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer, however other molecules can react with ozone that essentially destroys it. Cars emit various forms of nitrous oxides (NOx) and sulfate compounds in addition to carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Some of these can react with ozone, however they are not the primary causes of ozone depletion.

    can u pls explain why?...

what causes the ozone layer to reduce?...

what are the factors that are affecting it?..Why there is a reduction in the ozone layer in the Antarctic region?
    http://www.nas.nasa.gov/About/Education/鈥?/a>

The above site will answer all of your questions; it is an educational site developed by NASA.

Information is located under the following headings:

    The Antarctic Ozone hole:

    What is it?

    Why is it important?

What is so special about Antarctic conditions?

Summary of what happens in the Antarctic hole.

Factors influencing the magnitude of the hole. Why there is a reduction in the ozone layer in the Antarctic region?
the reduction is caused by the green house effect

the green house effect is caused because the ozone layer is thin and some ultra violet rays get in and thatcauses green house effect..

    hope i answered ur question
It's because of the polar vortex. The polar vortex exists near the Antartic and is caused by the very cool air around this area sucking the warm air from the warmer regions of the globe. This forms a vortex allowing gases normally limited to lower parts of the atmosphere to travel very high. As it does this it sucks various pollutants with it including, methane and cfcs which both attack ozone, effectively destroying it. Man is the greatest factor affecting ozone depletion, methane is a by product of agriculture as well as deforestation and many other man made processes. CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) were, until recently, used heavily in aerosols as propellant and also in fridges to stabilise the air coolant systems. The release of cfcs through aerosol use and decay of old fridges is thought to have had a large inpact on the destruction of ozone, which is why their use was completely ybanned about 10 years ago.

Ok, I want to make a double layer round cake for my daughters 1st birthday but it always crumbles!?

What is best way that you have found to do this without it crumbling on you? that and it always looks lopsided? at least it tastes good?.....Ok, I want to make a double layer round cake for my daughters 1st birthday but it always crumbles!?
I have done a lot of cakes in my day. I am no pro I just did it in cake decorating and it's a fun thing to do.

Some tricks I have learned over the years. Use parchemnt paper s a liner in the bottom. Spray both sides of the parchement paper.

When spreading the batter in the panmake a small almost not noticable dent in the center. The middle may dome, and this will help it be more even when finished baking.

Keep every one out of the kitchen as much as possible. The more havy foosteps and banging around the oven increases the chances of your cake falling.

After cooling for 10 min, turn out onto a cooling rack, let cool for another 10 min. While still warm wrap well in searan wrap and freeze. This helps lock in the moisture.

When ready to frost remove from freezer, unwrap and use a crumb layer first. Thisis a thinner layer of icing that just helps to stickall thise crumbs down. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Let the crumb layer air dry for about 10 min. Then continue on to the icing of your cake as usual.Ok, I want to make a double layer round cake for my daughters 1st birthday but it always crumbles!?
You have to cut the top off. When you bake a cake, the center rises. If you put another cake on a cake that has risen in the middle, it will always fall lopsided. Just cut the top part of the cake off, so the whole bottome layer cake is level. Before frosting and stacking make sure that both of the cakes are completely cooled. It usually takes about an hour. Do not rush of you are going to make a layer cake, it will never turn out the way you want it if you do. After frosting, put the cake on immediatly. I like to wait about a half an hour before frosting th rest of the cake to make sure that the icing in the middle (basically an adhesive) has done just that and then I frost the rest of the cake. Just make sure you level off the bottom layer and your cake will not fall! Happy Baking!

Oh also, with the icing, because some is so thick, I like to put 2 containers of it in a bowl and add about 4 tablespoons of milk and then whip it with a hand mixer until is smooth and creamy, this usually make it easier to frost and no crumbles. Just keep practicing! :)
Baking is such an art!!!! Lots of things to consider and it starts with the ingredients you are using. Some cake mixes are so delicate that if you donot let cool completely they fall apart, if you are making from scratch, be sure to follow directions completely. To get even layers I always measure the amount that goes into each round pan. Your icing might too heavy for the type of cake you have too. But definitely let cool for several hours before attempting the icing. I do over 2 days. Bake the cake , let cool, put what is called a crumb coat ( or 1st layer of icing which is a very thin coat to set the cake) , then I put the cake in the fridge for several hours or overnight, then ice again and decorate. Hope this might help. Good luck!
are you using a box mix or homemade?

if it's crumbling, it's too dry. Add more oil/butter or milk. I find that adding sour cream or creamcheese to the batter keeps it moist.

also, don't flip it out of the round pan until cool. once you take it out of the oven, it still cooks until cool. Take it out a little bit before you think its totally done, or when you think it's just right, and let it cool. it'll cook a little bit more.

you can make it unlopsided by frosting it strategically. Put more frosting on the side where its lower to even it out. or use a serrated knife to horizontally cut the cakes top when cool.
usually the cake gets a hump in the middle after baking either cut it flat with a serrated knife and place the cut side down on the plate so the surface is smooth then do the same with the 2nd layer and place the cut side down again.

if the hump isnt to big you dont have to cut it off you can just lay the top side down on the plate

my cakes are no longer lopsided :)

crumbles? u could be to rough when icing...place a big pile in th emiddle then spread carefully across the cake
I used to have that problem its soooo frustrating!! I suggest you boil a pot of water. Put the boiled water in a rectangular pan (like a casserole pot) put it on the bottom shelf of the oven. bake the cakes as directed (i usually bake for 45 min) the steam from the water below keeps the cakes moist. When you take them out of the oven let cool... take them out of the baking pan and cut excess cake if nec. i also like to oil the pan with butter it gives it a great taste and the cakes always come out moist. make sure you either use strawberry preserve or frosting between the layers!
    Breaks, Crumbles Batter under mixed

    Too much sugar

    Not enough eggs

Eggs too small - use large eggs

    Lopsided

    Batter not spread evenly

    Uneven pan

    Uneven oven heat

    Under mixed

Pan placed too near one oven wall

    Oven racks not level

    Opened oven door during baking

    Make cake layers:

Preheat oven to 300掳F. and grease pans. Line bottoms with rounds of wax paper and grease paper.

Divide batter between pans and bake in middle of oven until a tester inserted in center comes out clean, 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Cool layers completely in pans on racks. Run a thin knife around edges of pans and invert layers onto racks. Carefully remove wax paper and cool layers completely. Cake layers may be made 1 day ahead and kept, wrapped well in plastic wrap, at room temperature.

I did not give receipe because I knew you would already know what your making and of course you can frost and decorate it.
maybe you didnt let it cool down enough when you took it out the oven, next time just put it in the fridge and forget about it for a couple minutes, then work with it. also, to get the lopsided look away you need to cut around it like kinda shape it with a knife and cut the top flat...thats what i do and it comes out pretty. :)
well.. I make these for birthdays all the time..

    what you do..

    is..

Make the two cakes..and let them cool COMPLETELY.. when they are entirely cool.. put them on a plate and cover one of the cakes with icing.. stack the other cake on top and put on the rest of the icing all around.. and viola!
Before you take it out out the pan, take a knife or string and cut of the tops to make it flat. Do that to both, then they will not be lopsided and will not crumble. Then, icing it. It will turn out perfect!
Try freezing the cake layers before you frost them. Once frosted it only takes about a half an hour for them to thaw out, and it doesnt dry out the cake.
i use round-cake pans w. the spiniey thing so its easey to get out, and i usually use betty-crocker cake mix!

frost between the cakes and yeah, i have been doing that sence i was 12
For a flat, level cake, cut the rounded ';tops'; off each layer before putting together with frosting.
Put the bottoms together so they are both flat when they lay on top of each other leaving the hump away from the other hump. Happy B'day little girly!!!
make the top and bottom layer and let them cool first a few hours. THAN put on the icing on the center put on the top than ut icing everywhere elts. Good Luck
you need to put a crumb coat of icing on first. refrigerate it for an hour and then put on your final coat. Good Luck.

How to get rid of like last layer of stomach fat?

i'm 5'1 and i weigh around 95 pounds but i still have like one layer of stomach fat. and i don't know how to get rid of it. i bike for 45 minutes to an hour at least once a week. i jog sometimes too. all i drink is water. and one gatorade a day. any idea on how to get rid of the remainder? How to get rid of like last layer of stomach fat?
you should do high intensity interval training.

go on a track and run for 4 minutes jog for 3 minutes, run for 3 minutes, jog for 2 minutes, run for 2 minutes jog for 1 minute, spring a minute, jog a minute..stuff like that.

google high intensity interval training, it's the best way to burn off that last layer of fat.

doing crunches and situps will not burn away that fat, however it will make your ab muscles more defined..but no one will be able to see it with a layer of fat on top.

goodluck! i'm trying to get rid of mine too!How to get rid of like last layer of stomach fat?
Honesty you probably shouldn't get rid of it. Women tend to have more body fat, percentage wise, than men, they are meant to. And if you only weigh 95 pounds then I am guessing you dont have too much fat on your body to begin with, so the little amount of fat you have aorund your waist probably is a lot more healthier for you than having no fat on top of your abs. If you are worried about toning that part of your body watch your diet and try to exercise more than once a week consistently.

To lose fat you need to take in less calories than you expend. I dont know anything about your daily caloric intake or your energy expenditure, but if you are really looking to lose the fat, thats the way, make sure you take in less fat calories and more carb calories and stay active
    the gatorade is doing it.

That stuff is like liquid sugar.

It all goes straight to your belly.

    I'm the exact same way.

I have a little belly, but thats all I need to get rid of!

It's not big or anything, it's just annoying!

So i stopped drinking juices and started eating a little bit more healthier along with a bit of exersize and !!! my belly is shrinking :)

Cardio will help with the belly fat.

Instead of biking, jog a little bit more instead.

the same as i said 2 the other person,

sit straight up on a chair, suck in ur belly holding it in,

    4 30 seconds.

    do this in 10-15 x's, 4-5 x's a day

    keep at it.

Are global warming and the thinning ozone layer the same issue?

Does the thinning of the ozone layer result in a hotter Earth? Or just more rays that don't make a difference in temperature? And is global warming caused/causing thinning ozone layer/vise-versa?

    Thanks,

~~Ali. :)Are global warming and the thinning ozone layer the same issue?
No, although one could argue that anything is related to everything.

That's no what you mean I don't think though.

They are both caused by pollution. ozone deterioration is from certain chemicals that can be used in aerosol cans and refrigerant coolant. the stuff floats up and breaks apart the oxygen molecules (Ozone = O3).

Global arming is about putting stored greenhouse gases into the air faster than they are put back in the ground, or stored in other places (like plants).

What is the earth temperature without ozone layer?

I imagine the temperature would be pretty similar to that of the moon, because the moon orbits the earth, it is pretty close to the same distance away from the sun. The temperature of the moon at it's equator varies from approximately 212 deg.F during the day to about -300 deg.F during the night. the north pole of the moon which is always in sunlight stays between 90 and -40.

the ozone helps block and dissipate radiation from the sun. What is the earth temperature without ozone layer?
The ozone layer actually has very little effect on the Earth's temperature. It's a pretty tenuous layer at the best of times, and its main function is filtering out high-frequency ultra-violet light from the sun. The ozone layer does not have a significant function in absorbing, trapping or releasing heat.

For us organisms who evolved under its protective shield, keeping our DNA from being ripped to shreds by the UV, its depletion is bad news because excessive exposure to UV can lead to skin cancer, as well as killing off important bacteria and plankton that serve the biosphere in other ways. Ozone depletion and global warming often get conflated into one problem in the media - they are mostly separate phenomena, but related by their cause: many of the ozone-damaging chemicals such as CFCs are also potent greenhouse gases. What is the earth temperature without ozone layer?
it ozone layer helps life thriving on planet earth to live. with out it we probably would burn up. So I guess that it would be REALLY REALLY hot. It would be anywhere near the Sun tempurture because we are too far away. So probabaly 1000 degress and up.... :D
Gosh, close to the sun's temp.

  • Would it look good if i died my hair brown and then the bottom layer of hair bright blonde?

i know thats like the total opposite of what ppl seem to be doing these day but whatev. and when i say the bottom layer i mean like the very last layer of hair all the way around my head including my bangs. Im getting my hair done in march so i need to decide soon. i was going to do the same thing but with pink instead of the light blonde, but i thought that was a bit out there (im kind of too shy for that lol)Would it look good if i died my hair brown and then the bottom layer of hair bright blonde?
I really hate to be mean, but I have heard people say that the whole dying hair blonde on top and dark on the bottom looks trashy. Unfortunately, I agree with it. It looks very fake.

But you do whatever you want to do! :)

Yes, it is transport which is responsible for sending and checking if the package was received well.

Are there any hairdressers on here that could advise me on how to layer my own hair?

Your help would be most appreciated, my hair is down to the bottom of my back and Id really like either myself or my mother to layer it as Ive had it all one length too long. I'm also asking as I've had problems previously going to hairdressers. ThanxAre there any hairdressers on here that could advise me on how to layer my own hair?
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en%26amp;rlz鈥?/a>Are there any hairdressers on here that could advise me on how to layer my own hair?
What I do is take the top section of my hair (from the top of my head) and separate it from the rest of my hair. Then I gather the rest of my hair and clip it back. I cut the top part of my hair to a desired length (you'll want it shorter than you're going to cut the other part) and then I make the front sections (by my face) shorter by cutting diagonally down and out. When you are satisfied with this, put this section of your hair up and take the other part down. Trim it and do the same thing you did for the sections by your face, making sure you don't cut it shorter than your other layer. Then when you're done, brush it all out and see how it looks.
I agree with DJ. I have cut my hair for years. I have shoulder length now and it doesn't require much other than a trim but when I do go the beautician I watch how she does my cut and I try to come home and copy it. I have had some really great ladies / men cut my hair and have been pleased with it.

It is very scary to find and use a new beautician. Ask everyone around you and if you see someone with a great hair cut / color always ask where they get there hair done.

If you decide to cut it yourself, start small and remember that you can always cut more later. If you cut if off all at first you are stuck with the results until it grows back out.
Hi as Salon Owner and a stylist, the answer is don't

at the length of your hair, it would get ruined, you do need a professional, when you go to a salon be very very explicit be in charge and know exactly what you want done, do not let the stylist deviate from it, having layers put in your hair at this type of length you are going to have quite a bit of hair cut of I do hope you realise that
I doubt very much that a hairdresser will advise you to layer your own hair under any circumstances. Think about it.
i don't think you use the right method anyway i use this page, i works for me really well an all

Do commercial jets repair the ozone layer?

A long time ago I read that some people once thought that emissions from commercial jets would repair the hole in the ozone layer? Does anybody know where that idea came from and what science currently says about that? Sources would be great if possible.Do commercial jets repair the ozone layer?
    NO.

it continues to destroy the Ozone Layer.Do commercial jets repair the ozone layer?
The ozone emitted from jets would not be enough to patch up holes in the ozone layer. The largest hole of the ozone layer is over Antartica. Planes do not fly there very much at all. The amount of gas (Ozone Layer) you're talking about is massive, and the holes in it were created due to chain reactions set off by CFCs allowed to operate in a closed environment (upper level winds at the poles). Planes do not emit or cause enough Ozone to make a big impact.
Saving ozone with a no-go zone: Jumbo jets are spending more time in the stratosphere than previously realized, and their emissions are damaging the ozone layer.

The world's busiest aircraft flight corridor between North America and Europe borders one of the most threatened sectors of the ozone layer, over the North Atlantic, which thins by up to 25 per cent in late winter. Every day, up to 500 civil aircraft in the corridor burst out of the troposphere and up into the stratosphere, with its fragile ozone layer. About 15 per cent of emissions from all civil flights come from these aircraft, and at least half their emissions issue straight into the stratosphere. What makes these figures significant is the increasing evidence that nitrogen oxides (NOx) and water vapour in these emissions play a key role in destroying ozone.

At a symposium in Germany last week, atmospheric chemists debated for the first time whether aircraft should be banned from the stratosphere in order to protect the ozone layer. This could be done by flying lower

  • What characteristics of a rock layer would allow it to hold water?

porosityWhat characteristics of a rock layer would allow it to hold water?
primary and secondary porosity. Permeability is the ability of that water to be transmitted from one place to another. For example clays have a huge porosity, but very bad permeability. Secondary permeability is the measure of other physical structures in a rock or admixture that allows for storage of water in spaces not primary to the fabric of the formation. Fractures, vugs, joints and conduits are examples of secondary porosity features. What characteristics of a rock layer would allow it to hold water?
Porosity along with permeability. Porosity is the ratio of void space to total volume, expressed as a percentage. Permeability is the connectiveness of the pores. If the pores are not connected to other pores or the outside water source then holding and transmitting of water will not happen.

Just installed a bubble bar into my 20G tank. Now have a layer of ';bubbles'; on the surface?

I got a thing called a bubble bar it is very similar to a bubble wand, just in the form of a bar. Since i installed it, along with the gravel in my twenty gallon tank, it has created a layer of bubbles on the surface of the tank. I am just wondering if this is normal or what is up? The tank is 24'; long and the bubble bar is 18';.Just installed a bubble bar into my 20G tank. Now have a layer of ';bubbles'; on the surface?
If the bubbles don't pop immediately, then this implies that there is some sort of impurity in the water that is keeping the bubbles together.

You know when little kids blow bubbles using a mixture of soap and water, and those bubbles hold together for almost a minute? Yeah? Well, there's something in your water that is acting like the soap. That something is holding the bubbles together so that they don't immediately pop. It might be something that dried onto the bubble wand, or something that dissolved into your water and came from a decoration.

Here's what you can do. Try bubbling the bubble wand in some other container that isn't your tank. If the impurity is on the bubble wand, then the bubbles in the new container will stick around for a little bit. If the impurity is in your tank water, then the bubbles in the new container will pop immediately. Either way, you'll know where the source of the impurity is. If the impurity is in the bubble wand, try rinsing it under tap water a couple times and testing it again. Don't use soap. If the impurity is in your tank water, then try removing all of your decorations and rinsing them, and doing a couple water changes. Good luck. This happened to me and it was some coating the manufacturer left on the gravel and it took forever to clean.

By the way if your tank is new and you haven't added fish yet, then you might want to consider fishless cycling the tank. http://www.fishkeeping.co.uk/articles_51鈥?/a>

Ice cream cake with brownie layer on bottom: will brownies come out rock solid?

I wanna make an ice cream cake with a layer of brownies on the bottom.

Here's how I plan to do it:

-Bake brownies and let cool completely.

-Put vanilla ice cream layer on top of brownies.

-Saran wrap the whole thing and freeze it.

If I plan to serve the ice cream cake two days later will the brownie layer on bottom come out rock solid?!

If so, is there a certain proper way to do it?Ice cream cake with brownie layer on bottom: will brownies come out rock solid?
Yes it will be a rock.

I normally make ice cream cake with Oreos that have been buzzed in a blender. I think your cake will cut a lot easier if you chop up your brownies before you put the ice cream on top. I do two layers of cookies with a little melted butter and two layers of ice cream then I top it with lines of choc syrup and drag a toothpick through to make it look like a Napolean:

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co鈥?/a>

I mash up the ice cream before putting it into the pan in a big bowl. You have to freeze it between layers.

I've also made it with vanilla oreo cookies and strawberry ice cream.Ice cream cake with brownie layer on bottom: will brownies come out rock solid?
I would say that the brownies would be frozen,or very cold and kind a hard. I would suggest that you should should make the brownies that day and right before you serve them put the ice cream on top. Plus maybe some people may want regular brownies. You have to be flexible especially with littler kids. Now if you must bake the brownies two days before you should bake the brownies, let them cool, and seran wrap them and stick them in the refigerater till you serve them with out the ice cream of course and right before you serve them heat them up and put the ice cream on them. One more way to do it is that same way but i would say you could stick them in the freezer for up to 30 minutes other wise they will be frozen and terrible. Anyway hope i helped with your answer and i hope your ice cream brownies turn out awesome and be sure to check out my questions and share your answers you might have what im looking for. Hope they turn out good bye
Yes the brownie will be frozen. possibly bake the brownies the day of and let it cool so than you dont have to put it in the freezer. put the ice cream on top right before you serve the cake.
Probably Not. Try it with ice cream sandwiches. I always do that then melt hot fudge and drizzle it over the top.
