Can somone give me instrictions on how to solve the rubiks cube simply using the layer method?

I can solve the top layer but not the middle when people show me they go to fast or have complicated albarithms that don't make sense help pleaseCan somone give me instrictions on how to solve the rubiks cube simply using the layer method?
