How is the subcutaneous layer related to the epidermis and perdiderm of a full-grown being?

the subcutaneous or adipose layer is the bottom layer. it aids in storage of fat cells and cushions other structures of the skin. blood vessels also pass through. the epidermis is the uppermost layer and contains four or five layers. each layer has a differrent function. the epidermis is responsible mainly for shedding old skin with new ones and aids in blood clotting. the perdiderm or dermis is the middle layer which contains sweat galnds, blood vessels and the hair root.

the three layers both contribute to the functions of the skin, and lie in layers to carry out related functions.
