Help! i need to remove a layer of beeswax from ths outside of a gourd.?

First scrape off what you can with either a potato peeler or a cheese grater. If you have a steam sprayer, or even an iron try to use steam from the sprayer first. Or you can scrape off most of it first and then put an old t-shirt around the gourd and slowly rub it against the iron. The wax should dissolve into the t-shirt. If you want it totally free from the wax, finish by using a Mr. clean Magic sponge ( or target equiv. for 1/2 the price!) with a little bit of dish soap.Help! i need to remove a layer of beeswax from ths outside of a gourd.?
Try and heat the inside of the gourd with a hair dryer and scrape it off with a flat knife carefully - see if that works?
Well, living here in southern Arizona, I would set it out in the sun until it warmed up, and then wipe it off with a clean rag. I wonder what would happen if you put it in the microwave for about 25 seconds.
